Is He Trying To Tell Me Something?

I’m laughing as I post this. My husband just sent me the chart below.

Do you think he is trying to tell me something?

You can purchase the chart for $4.00.

My Cards, Her Cards

Yesterday I invited Emily (my 5 year old) to play a game of Uno with me. With a huge smile on her face she quickly responded by saying, let’s play with cheating!

I explained to her that if she wanted to cheat, I didn’t want to play the game. Emily agreed to play by the rules.

After a little while, I had to go into the other room to help Chloe. While I was away Emily was kind enough to deal a new hand.

My cards.

Her cards.

Hmmmm…… :)

I couldn’t find the camera. I used photo booth for the pic’s. Brad will love this one! :)

Campfire Recipes #1 - Banana Boats

Filed Under (Food, General, Humor, Money) by Lisa Ruggles on 18-08-2008

We had a great time camping last weekend with Brad’s brother Jason and his wife April. April used to be a camp counselor and shared a recipe with us.

The kids loved it!

Cut a wedge out of a Banana and fill it with Peanut Butter.

Add small marshmallows and mini chocolate chips. Wrap in tin foil, put in the coals and let it cook 5-10 mins. Then enjoy a yummy banana treat.

Dangers of Blogging!

As I was writing a blog, this child was suppose to be sleeping……

I

I heard something in the other room and this is what I found……

Emily had decided to “make something up.” Yummy…. milk, olive oil, pepper, lemon juice and who knows what else!

“Chicken Killer”

Last week, Emily was quite upset with me. She hates the idea that we eat birds of any sort. Thanksgiving we had a complete melt down when I pulled the turkey out of the oven. She insisted that I put the head back on and let it go. Plenty of drama in our home. :)

I couldn’t resist grabbing the camera and capturing her attitude. There is one part where I asked her something, but if you listen, you can hear her call me a “birdy eater head.” I almost lost it with laughter!

What crazy quirks do the “little ones” in your life have?

Why do boys pee standing up?

Filed Under (Family, Humor, My Girls) by Lisa Ruggles on 23-06-2008

Today as I was reading Brandiandboys, Chloe (my 7 year old daughter) looked over my shoulder and saw this flippee toilet. She was quite perplexed as to what this strange contraption was used for. Since we don’t have little boys in our home with “special equipment”, she had lots of questions. I told her boys stand up and pee and sometimes it can be very messy. :-)

She wanted to know if boys hold “it” while they pee.

Yes, honey they do.

*snickering from Chloe*

She then asked, does Daddy ever miss the toilet?

Fortunately, I was able to tell her that he has great aim. Chloe thought for a little bit and came to the conclusion that it would be best if all boys sat down when they peed.

I can’t say that I disagree.
