Moving day pics….

Last Friday, all of our belonging were delivered to our new place. Saturday morning when I got up I looked around at this:
and felt a little overwhelmed, happy that we were in our new home, but a little sad that we didn’t have any friends around. By noon we had two calls from friends. One of our students, Erika, and a couple that worked with us in the youth ministry, BJ and Cherith. They wanted to know if it would be okay to stop in and help us out. Hmmmm……. let me think about that! Well, I guess, if you twist my arm!

Erika helped in the kitchen but was also kind enough to take the girls to the pool……
By dinner time, we had the kitchen settled and Brad made us all a spaghetti dinner……
Cheers to our new home and enjoying it with our friends!!!!
A perfect day!
Over the last three months not having friends around has been one of the most difficult things for me. I’m looking forward to getting settled, making new friends and being able to hang with old friends.
How often do you hang out with your friends?

Looks beautiful! So sorry I haven’t gotten back to your e-mails: we would LOVE to come visit again (who can pass up such great company, and, um, Brad’s faijtas??)! We’ll have to figure out a time. THANK YOU for your encouragement about the terrible, errr, wonderful twos. I’m trying to enjoy the season, but somedays :)…Also, I’m not working. Dan got a new job and I had just as much stress as in my previous nursing job, so we decided it’s best for me to stay home at this point. So far, I love it! Talk to you soon!

I think we all get too caught up in life, and end up not hanging out as much as we should.

i am partial to red..so i love the couch.
few years ago we helped our friends move in and unpack. we had fun after i tried to beat one girl to the couch and leaped over it and laid down. laid down just in time to have said friend sit on me and we laughed quite alot!! she boke my headband. it was ok, but she bought me a new one-only for my daughte rto wear and break it.

ah, my heart just twinged for you at the end. I have been without friends for almost four months. *sigh* We moved at the beginning of April from Oregon to North Dakota. All of our family is back in Oregon, friends too. Actually, being military I have friends all over, but blogging has really helped me not feel so lonely or devoid of adult conversations.
And I have yet to make friends here really either. Good friends anyway. Or find a good church.

I work for my best friend, I take care of her, so I see her five days a week five hours a day…the best part of it is we never get sick of each other and always have something to talk about. or do…and it’s not like going to work at all.
