Inside Out
Categories: (Authenticity, General) by Lisa Ruggles on 24-06-2008
I’ve been contemplating starting a Blog for a couple months now. A few weeks ago we were visiting at Crosspoint. During worship we sang “From the Inside Out” and I knew it was time. I couldn’t put it off anymore.
I have always loved this song, but during the last couple months it has taken on new meaning. I never thought that the “consuming” part could be so difficult. It is my heart’s cry and thus the name of my blog.
A thousand times I’ve failed
Still Your mercy remains And should I stumble again
I’m caught in Your grace
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fameYour will above all else
My purpose remains
The art of losing myself
In bringing You praise
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fameIn my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out
Lord let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside outEverlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out
A thousand times I’ve failed
Hey Lisa! Glad to see you online with a blog too.
One of my songs right now is “Mighty to Save”. I can’t even THINK the chorus without getting a stinging nose and watery eyes. I think you probably understand why. I know he *can* move mountains…..I just pray He DOES.
Everyone needs compassion
A love that’s never failing
Let mercy fall on me
Everyone needs forgiveness
A kindness of a Savior
The hope of nations
Savior
He can move the mountains
My God is Mighty to save
He is Mighty to save
Forever
Author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave
So take me as You find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again
I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in
Now I surrender
Shine your light and let the whole world see
We’re singing for the glory of the risen King…Jesus
Kassie, we are praying for both you and Tim! Let us know if you get any new updates.
The song for my life right now is Kirk Franklin’s “Imagine Me”
Imagine Me
Loving what I see when the mirror looks at me cause I
I imagine me
In a place of no insecurities
And I’m finally happy cause
I imagine me
Letting go of all the ones who hurt me
Cause they never did deserve me
Can you imagine me?
Saying no to thoughts that try to control me
Remembering all you told me
Lord, can you imagine me?
Over what my mama said
and healed from what my daddy did
And I wanna live and not read that page again
(Chorus)
Imagine me, being free, trusting you totally finally I can…..
Imagine me
I admit it was hard to see
You being in love with someone like me
but finally I can…. Imagine me
Being strong
And not letting people break me down
You won’t get that joy this time around
Can you imagine Me?
In a world (in a world) where nobody has to live afraid
Because of you love frears gone away
Can you imagine me?
(bridge)
Letting go of my past
And glad I have another chance
And my heart will dance
’cause I don’t have to read that page again
(vamp)
Gone, Gone, it’s gone, all gone (my favorite part!)
